As your representative in Washington, my number one goal is to be accessible to the people of the 8^th District. My Online Office is an extension of that Open Door Policy; providing constituents with an opportunity to share their views, get help with federal agencies, learn about my work in Washington, and so much more any time or day of the week. Recently, the Online Office was recognized as one of the best websites in Congress by the Congressional Management Foundation, a non-profit, non-partisan management consulting and research organization. 

 

The Online Office has several new features for 8^th District constituents. For instance, I recently added a Tips for Hunters and Sportsmen page to the family safety section.

 

Hunting is a way of life in Indiana; a proud tradition passed down from generation to generation. As a former Sheriff, I believe that all gun owners have a responsibility to ensure their firearms are used safely. While hunting a fence row in Gibson County over the holidays, I thought it might be a good idea to add a Tips for Hunters and Sportsmen page to the website. The page contains basic gun safety rules, as well as important phone numbers and information about hunting and fishing in the 8^th District.
