I am an owner of Linton Sporting Goods, and the mayor of the City of Linton.
Where in Greene County do you reside?
Linton
If someone was coming to Greene County Indiana for the first time, what would you suggest they put on their “must see or do” list?
Viaduct, Goose Pond, Linton, Bloomfield, and recreation areas around the county
What would you describe as the ideal “night on the town” in Greene County?
Dinner at one of our restaurants, a movie at the Linton Cinema, casual atmosphere at the Old Bank in Linton.
What other things do you enjoy doing in Greene County?
Fishing, Hunting, Golf, and relaxing in our many parks
What would you say about the people that live here in Greene County?
The people of Greene County are the kindest, giving, friendliest group of people that I have ever been around.
What would you say to someone if they told you that they were interested in moving to Greene County?
We have great schools, churches, shopping, many acres of green space to relax and enjoy family recreation activities. The county is taking a proactive approach to the future while keeping a perspective on the history of the county.
What does Greene County Indiana mean to you?
Quality of life and family, Great relationships and a sprit of pride and ownership, Greene County is the best place to raise children that I know. Civic pride abounds in this county. We are people who believe in supporting others in many ways. We have young adults that are involved and work to make our county a better place to work, live and raise a family. Organizations, such as our Chamber of Commerce, work hard to make Greene County a destination for tourist and business. Greene County is the place where I want to be.
