The website started life in 2004 as VisitGreeneIN.com by Kegan Inman. Since then, Kegan Inman started Kegan’s Kandy Web Services with Charles Garwood and combined this site under its control to provide even a better product.

In September 2006, a new version of VisitGreeneIN.com was released that provided more information and resources to the public. The site was a big hit and more than doubled its daily visitors but since then, Kegan and Charles decided that they should do more.

In September 2007, almost exactly 1 year after the release of the new VisitGreeneIN.com they released GreeneCountyIndiana.com. In the summer of 2007, they acquired the domain name GreeneCountyIndiana.com and decided to change the official name of the website during the September release. The name change is because on the September release it wasn’t just information about tourism but information for all Greene County Indiana citizens and of course still anyone wanting to visit the wonderful county.

GreeneCountyIndiana.com is currently privately owned and operated by Kegan’s Kandy Web Services. The managers of the site are Kegan Inman and Charles Garwood. The sites main purpose is to positively promote Greene County, its communities, resources and citizens.

This site is sponsor supported because no government funding goes into the sites production or maintenance. Sponsorships are reasonably priced and a great way to promote a business over the internet because we are one of the most hit Greene County Indiana website on the internet.

We would like to thank everyone that worked to make this site possible. Whether through hours put into the website, contribution of information or cooperation, this website wouldn’t be possible if contributors hadn’t of stepped forward and help to promote the county.
